IS THERE A TIME FOR WINE?

If you're a true wine lover, you'll agree there's always a time for wine. But sometimes choosing just the 'right wine' can present some real challenges.

Here you will find the wine tasting notes of Nan & Michael, a couple of people who enjoy wine. The wines are mostly from No. California Wineries, but we are now turning our attention more to Oregon wines (see why here). You will also find notes on a few Paso Robles wineries.

Rrecently, we added a new page called "Off The Shelf." These are various wines that we have purchased or received as gifts, and include international as well as domestic wines.

We don't claim to be "experts," and you may not like what we like. We each have our individual tastes. But we have found that many people feel more comfortable choosing a wine when a friend (or even a stranger at the supermarket) offers a recommendation. The fact that someone else has tasted the wine and found it appealing makes the decision-making process so much easier.

As you explore this site, you will see the names of many well-known wineries, as well as others you've probably never heard of. We urge you not to discount these unknown wineries. Some of the best wines we've tasted (and bought) are from small family-run operations.

Hopefully, something we say on these pages will help you choose a wine that will please your palate and delight your friends.
